NATO’s Afghanistan Report 2009 now public

The Report offers an overview for each of the three main lines of effort in which NATO-ISAF is involved, directly or in a supporting role: security, governance, and development. It is an attempt to provide the reader with a broader and more balanced picture on Afghanistan.

How many ISAF troops are operating in Afghanistan?  How does the International Community support the Afghan National Security Forces? How many Afghans registered to vote for the 2009 elections?  How is the nexus between narcotics trade and insurgency being tackled? How is the Afghan economy performing?

The answer to these questions, as well as much more information on NATO and Afghanistan, can be found in this year’s report.
